What We Look For
The Fellowship for the Common Good is an innovative program designed for professionals with significant career experience looking to reflect and pivot their talents towards addressing society’s challenges. Candidates are motivated to reflect on a life of enduring value and to apply their expertise to local, national, or global challenges. Built on Georgetown’s Jesuit tradition, the program welcomes people of all religious and cultural backgrounds who demonstrate a genuine eagerness to learn, an openness to reflection, generosity toward peers, and a commitment to mentoring the next generation.
The holistic selection process consists of three components: an application, interview and one reference. Every applicant is evaluated by the admissions committee on their portfolio of experience, their interest in contributing to a societal issue, curiosity, willingness to learn from others and capacity to engage. Selection is overseen by the admissions committee and faculty leadership, with a focus on building a balanced and collaborative inaugural cohort.

Selection Timeline
Applications will be reviewed over several rounds. We encourage applicants to apply earlier, as the initial deadlines will provide admitted Fellows with the maximum time to prepare for their transition to the program.
